Welcome to the Fishguard Triathlon Sprint charity challenge page in support of Scotty’s LITTLE Soldiers, the charity for bereaved British Forces children.
Looking for a race with a stunning sea swim, a scenic run and fantastic village support? The Wales Triathlon is for you! Taking place in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire which has fantastic village support, the weekend is ideal for new and experienced athletes alike. Please note this link is for the sprint distance which is a 750m swim, 13 mile cycle and 3 mile run.
The course will be fairly fast. The swim course is a very sheltered out and back swim. The bike course starts with a small incline that is a very fast rolling road into and around Mathry and back. The run is along the headland and around the coast, so is simply stunning and as you travel through Fishguard.
The swim takes place in Fishguard bay which is protected by a breakwater on both sides. Athletes will swim one lap, exiting the water to large crowds before heading into transition for the cycle.
