Welcome to the Lake District Challenge charity challenge page in support of Scotty’s LITTLE Soldiers, the charity for bereaved British Forces children.

Back again for 2022; walk, jog, or run the Lake District Challenge, and take on England’s finest countryside at your pace. Test yourself on a fantastic Ultra Challenge-suitable for all experience levels and you’ll get the best support and hospitality all the way.

The Challenge Base Camp is in Kendal, from there it’s a 100km anticlockwise loop taking in a couple of tough hills, Ambleside, then a half way point by Lake Windermere, with some stunning forests and nature reserve views enroute, before a huge welcome and celebration back at Base Camp, after a momentous journey. With 50km half and 25km quarter distance options also available, there is a challenge for everyone.

Entry includes free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt, and a medal to commemorate your achievement

To join Team Scotty and fundraise at this event please visit the Lake District Challenge event site by clicking here. When you register you will be asked which charity you wish to support and will have the opportunity to select Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
